Conscientious, easygoing, dependable, committed, ambitious.
When did you know you wanted to be a Developer?
I have a picture of me sitting in front of a computer when I was younger than 1, punching things into the keyboard. Programming and engineering runs in my family; I always knew that this was my path.
What is your favorite programming language and why?
Recently I’ve been working mostly with swift, so that’s my favorite for now. But what I like changes with the seasons. When I work in Objective C, it is my favorite, and when I program in Java I like that language the most.
What would people never guess about you?
I have a hobby of taking portraits and shooting & editing videos to make short films. I once won a national competition for a promo video I made.
What motivates you?
People. There is so much to learn from other people and their knowledge. Also my sister motivates me, she’s so young and so picky, she makes me think about what I’m doing and why. She challenges me to have a reason for everything. I want to make her proud of me.
What is your favorite FM project and why?
ItemAware, the project I’m working on right now because it’s the biggest team I’ve worked with. I got to know many people and learned to work with them. The cooperation between a large team is challenging and rewarding.
Where do you look for inspiration?
This is easy, you just have to look around, there are so many inspirational people here at FM, so it’s easy to pick up new ideas from all around me.
What are you afraid of?
Spiders. Yeah, mostly spiders.
What’s the last book you read?
This is funny, but recently I read the Little Prince. Now that I am older I can see the wisdom in this book.
What’s the most memorable place you’ve been?
Köprülü Canyon in Turkey. I went rafting there, and the views were amazing. We had to go through small waterfalls which was a little scary, but wonderful and also jumped into the water from high rocks.
What are the top five songs you would put on your playlist?
These are my secrets, if you know the songs of a person you know their soul. But all of my friends know that I’m pretty obsessed with Ed Sheeran.
Where do you want to be in 10 years?
This is hard - I want to be somewhere that I can’t even imagine right now. In 10 years I could be farther along than I can see right now.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
My parents are the most hard-working people I know, so they have definitely influenced me. Also my English teacher from high-school taught me that the short answer isn’t always the right answer and that we should push ourselves - and also to think about all of the people around you because they are shaping you.
